Our Team

What started as a shared passion for fresh seafood, great service, and vibrant dining experiences has grown into two beloved restaurants in Illinois. The Beach House in Ottawa and Pesciolino Osteria in Channahon are the result of years of dedication from founders John and Maura Mathias and their longtime partner, Chef Joseph Petrusek. With diverse backgrounds, rich experience, and a deep love for food and people, this trio has created warm, welcoming spaces where every dish tells a story—and every guest feels like family.
